Make your own home facial
1. Select a day when you are relatively free at home with not many chores to attend to. An ideal setting would be in a relaxed place, soothing music, light scented candles, and keep your phone on silent mode.
2. Collect all the ingredients required — a scrub, facial steamer,
sandalwood paste, rose water, cotton, cut fruits like pomegranate
seeds, tomatoes, papaya and cucumber. Put the ingredients in small
bowls.
3. Start with the first step of cleansing. Use a gentle cleanser, not soap, and splash your face with some warm water. Cleansers with a soy base are less irritating to the skin. You can use tomatoes slices or cut lime to cleanse your face in case your face is oily.
4. For a rejuvenating facial steam, add green tea and some herbs such as rosemary, or mint to the water.
5. Make a face pack, which has moisturising and hydrating ingredients in it. Or make a fruit pack with banana, or aloe mixed with freshly squeezed citrus juice and a drizzle of olive or nut oil. Apply the paste for 10 - 15 minutes and on drying wash it off with warm water. Once done, enjoy the feeling of feeling relaxed and fresh.
