The Hiru Golden Film awards was successfully held yesterday with much pride and pomp at the Sugathadasa Indoor stadium. Hiru Golden Film Awards, the first of its kind, awarded films that were screened in 2012 and 2013 and another 100 short films produced during the same time period. Hiru Golden Film Award was held at a time where there is a large vacuum in the local film industry. The Bollywood stars Bipasha Basu, Neha Dupia, Anil Kapoor, Sunil Shetti, Vivek Oberoi,famous playback singer Alka Yagnik and local artists entered the stadium in the red carpet.
