Bono hospital reveals extent of U2 singer's injuries U2 frontman Bono broke his arm in six places and fractured his eye socket, hand and shoulder blade in his recent bicycle accident in New York. The hospital where he was treated has also revealed he underwent two surgical procedures. The arm fracture involved a five-hour operation on Sunday and was repaired with three metal plates and 18 screws. Bono had surgery on his left hand yesterday.
